Streetly Ravens 1 LIONS 2 (Parker, Pennant). A very good game between two decent teams on a testing pitch that hopefully will have had a cut by the time we visit again on the 23rd. Both sides had chances in the first half but both keepers were in top form & we went in to the break goalless. Lions to the lead when Jamie Parker ran on to a Jamie Parker through ball ? & finished with aplomb. Ravens equalised shortly afterwards when they took advantage of a stoppage & followed up a rebound from a Tom Evans save. At this stage the game could’ve gone either way but lions conditioning came to the fore & our passing stretched the tiring ravens. The winner came from a cross to the back post where a great touch juggle & volley from Charlie Caffery followed by another cracking save was kept alive by Ben & finished by Luque to give us the win our football deserved. Looking forward to our next visit to the ravens who were fabulous hosts. Bearwood Sports next week & a chance to see our old friend Caroline & John. C O Y L !
